Fiber on the south side
Grandview was part of Google Fiber’s 2013 metro expansion, and the FCC map now shows two fiber networks with high coverage, Google Fiber and Everfast Fiber, and two more with moderate coverage, AT&T and Spectrum. Spectrum is the cable company. For a city on the south edge of Kansas City, that is a strong lineup.
Grandview straddles I-49 and US 71, with retail, offices and light industrial and distribution buildings near the highway. Older buildings are often already served. Newer or larger buildings may need fiber built in, so ask early.
What we check for Grandview businesses
- Which of the four fiber networks reach your building. Coverage is high for two of them, but not universal.
- Upload speed. All four fiber options give matching upload and download speeds. Cable does not.
- Construction for larger sites. Warehouses and flex buildings may need fiber extended. We get it in writing. See dedicated internet.
- A backup on a different network. Wisper fixed wireless and 5G both report wide coverage, which makes backup internet easy to add.
Phones and alarm lines
When we replace internet for a Grandview business, we usually look at phones and alarm lines at the same time. Old copper lines keep getting more expensive. POTS line replacement keeps alarm panels and fax machines working, and a cloud phone system keeps your 816 numbers.
About the provider data. The network list on this page comes from the FCC’s Broadband Data Collection (availability as of December 2025). The FCC counts a provider as available in an area when it reports it can serve locations there, so a network on the map may still need to build to your building. We check each one at your address before you compare prices.
