Google Fiber’s Northland stronghold
Gladstone signed on with Google Fiber in 2013, and the FCC map now shows Google Fiber with high coverage across the city. AT&T and Spectrum fiber each report moderate coverage, so many addresses have two or three fiber options, plus Spectrum cable.
Gladstone is mostly neighborhoods with commercial strips along its main roads, especially North Oak Trafficway. Businesses here tend to be retail, restaurants, medical and dental offices, and local services. For them, a fiber plan with matching upload speed and a small wireless backup is usually the right setup.
A setup that fits most Gladstone businesses
- Fiber main line. Google Fiber, AT&T or Spectrum fiber, picked on price over the full contract and install date.
- Backup on another network. Spectrum cable, Wisper fixed wireless or 5G with automatic failover. See backup internet.
- Phones that keep working. A cloud phone system keeps your 816 number and can ring cell phones during an outage.
- Old copper lines. Fax, alarm and elevator lines can move to POTS line replacement.
Medical and dental offices
Practices that depend on cloud records, imaging and online scheduling need steady upload speed and fast repair. For larger practices, dedicated internet with a service level agreement is worth comparing against business fiber.
About the provider data. The network list on this page comes from the FCC’s Broadband Data Collection (availability as of December 2025). The FCC counts a provider as available in an area when it reports it can serve locations there, so a network on the map may still need to build to your building. We check each one at your address before you compare prices.
